What is the education bonus?
With the education bonus, the federal government promotes individual vocational further education. Occupational means that the selected training must be important for the professional context - for the current or a planned new activity. Individual means that it is about the personal educational interests - regardless of the interests of the employer.
With the support of the European Social Fund, several hundred thousand bonus vouchers have already been issued for vocational training. Training courses that have helped the users of the bonus to better qualify, gain more professional self-confidence, prepare for new professional tasks and reduce the risk of unemployment.
What is the education bonus?
The maximum amount of the education bonus is € 500.00 for the chosen measure. 50% of the costs of the training are taken over, however, maximum 500.00 €

- In the current calendar year, the person has not yet received a premium voucher for the education premium
- The person interested in the education / training is employed (employed or self-employed) for at least 15 hours per week, or is on parental leave with a contract of at least 15 hours per week ,
- The taxable annual income of the person who wants to do the training / further education is less than 20,000 € (for jointly assessed persons under 40,000 €)

For which training providers can the education premium be claimed?
A training provider must meet the quality and quality criteria that the Ministry of Education and Research as well as the Federal Office of Administration in Cologne consider necessary. The training provider must have a proven teaching qualification (technical as well as pedagogical) and can prove this. The concept of the educational measure must be didactically meaningful. The training provider can prove that he / she has specialist knowledge / expertise (publications, etc.).

How is the course?
